God has blessed each one of us with more than what we deserve.  Those blessings are not just for our own desires.  “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:8)  Paul even tells the Ephesians (and us) that doing these good works is why we were created in Christ.  “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)  According to the wise words of Solomon, we are not to put off doing those good works if we have the opportunity.  “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.  Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come again, tomorrow I will give it”—when you have it with you.” (Proverbs 3:27-28)
