As they were rebuilding the temple, the people got emotional.  “And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the LORD, ‘For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever toward Israel.’ And all the people shouted with a great shout when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.”  He had blessed them so much and they knew that His goodness has no limit and no end.  “For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” (Psalm 100:5)  We also have opportunity to receive that goodness.  “The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.” (Lamentations 3:25)
