2024 Day 270 – Nehemiah 6-7
God’s people began showing an attitude of gratefulness to Him and listing some of the great things He had done. “You are the LORD, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships you.” (Nehemiah 9:6) Their attitude at this time also included humbleness and acknowledgement of the wrong that they had done. “Yet you have been righteous in all that has come upon us, for you have dealt faithfully and we have acted wickedly.” (Nehemiah 9:33) As God’s people today we also are at times guilty of disappointing our Heavenly Father, but He gives us ample opportunity to make things right. “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)
