David’s son Absalom and those with him who were trying to overtake David, trusted the wrong advisor.  “So Absalom and all the men of Israel said, ‘The advice of Hushai the Archite is better than the advice of Ahithophel.’” (2 Samuel 17:14) Trusting in the wrong source ended up causing Absalom to lose his life. “And ten young men who bore Joab’s armor surrounded Absalom, and struck and killed him.” (2 Samuel 18:15) Today we have the best source of advice for both our current life and our eternal life. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17) It is up to use to use that advice daily.
