As Nehemiah was leading a rebuild of the wall, his enemies were continually coming up with ways to try and stop the work. He did not fall for their tricks and continued to work. In verse 9 of chapter 6 we see he took a moment to say a quick prayer of request, “Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.” He did not stop working and expect a miracle, but he kept working and asked God for help. What a great example for us when we have struggles that we are dealing with!
