When Jesus invited Simon and Andrew to follow Him, they did not hesitate. “They immediately left their nets and followed Him.” (Mark 1:18) We see James and John do the same in Mark 1:20. He invites us as well “Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” (Matthew 16:24). We do not have to give up our livelihood as they did, but we do have to give up a life of sin and be willing to fully follow Him.
